  • Dualie

    Two is the New One

The light turns green and you're off. By mid-block the singlespeeders and fixie riders are at max velocity. That’s when you kick your Dualie into overdrive and drop those posers. The Dualie is like a singlespeed on steroids. It marries the world’s most advanced carbon fiber belt drive with a two-speed kick shifter, stylishly integrated into a sleek steel frame dressed in Scooter blue. Back pedal half a turn to upshift or downshift. It’s that easy. The ethic is simplicity, the aesthetic thoroughly mod. Bicycling picked the Dualie as one of its favorite new city bikes. Yo, fixie riders, time to kick it up a notch! Two, after all, is the new one. After being sold out, the Dualie is AVAILABLE in shops now while supplies last.

  • Wazee

    Style, Precision and Panache

In the spirit of Colin Chapman, the brash auto racing entrepreneur who created the Lotus 38that won the 1965 Indy 500, we present the Wazee—a city bike that blends modern technology with retro racing aesthetics. The sleek and streamlined steel frame delivers the classic ride characteristics and road-feel that bicyclists prize. And with its Lotus-inspired Chapman green (of course) color scheme, the Wazee handles city streets with precision and panache. Our Wazee is the newest member of the Spot family but its heritage runs deep. Wazee Street is one of Denver's most storied thoroughfares, the epicenter of LoDo and beating heart of Mile-High commerce and culture. Anchoring the bike is the most innovative drive system available: a CenterTrack belt drive that motors fast and quiet, lap after lap after lap. Colin Chapman would be proud. AVAILABLE in shops now.

  • Ajax Open

    Ajax Open

Face the city with a smile and an open mind

The Ajax Open re-envisions what a high performance city bike can be. Cruisers and townies are fun but they limit your range due to their weight and clunkiness. The Ajax Open, by contrast, is a nimble eight-speeder that allows you to get out of the neighborhood and beyond the town limits with ease. Kit it out with fenders and a rack and the Ajax Open becomes a year-round do everything bike. Fitness rides? Check. City commutes? Roger. Shopping sprees? Oh yeah. How and where you ride is open to interpretation. Wired compared the Ajax and its stealthy matte black finish to an urban ninja. We agree. Hydraulic disc brakes provide stop-on-a dime braking, and the low-maintenance eight-speed shifting system and super-smooth belt drive slice through the city like a whisper. The Ajax Open delivers across the metrics that matter: performance, engineering (and with many of the same high-end features as our Acme Open), value. Face the city with a smile--and an open mind--on the Ajax Open.

    An Urban Ninja

Shhhh. What was that? Ajax moves through the city with stealth and speed, an urban ninja in matte black. Wired bestowed the Ajax with a Gear of the Year award and called it their “favorite urban velocipede we tested this year;” lofty praise from the oracles of innovation. At the heart of this bike’s performance is its new-school drivetrain: an eight-speed Alfine internal hub and super-smooth belt drive that slices through the city like a shinobi in the night. A favorite of tech-heads and entrepreneurs from Palo Alto to Brooklyn, the Ajax delivers across the metrics that matter: performance, engineering and, with many of the same high-end features as our Acme, value. Alas, even urban ninjas must complete the mission on budget. AVAILABLE in shops now.

  • Acme Open

    Acme Open

Opening doors to rediscover the joy of cycling

Fast, clean and colorful, the Acme Open is a modern city bike for today’s open-minded urban cyclist. Wear it with a skirt, a kilt, skinny jeans or a suit. But it’s more than a looker. The Acme Open is lighter and faster than most city bikes, which means you get to work early and hit that restaurant reservation with time to spare. Forget greasy chains. The Acme Open’s sealed 11-speed hub and super-clean belt perform flawlessly, rain or shine, and never rust. Some dudes enjoy lubing their chains and getting their hands greasy. Not you. You know that bikes are for riding. Acme means “highest,” and this bike is the apex of modern urban cycling. The Acme Open: opening doors for you to rediscover the joy of cycling.

    The Joy of High Performance

It’s no secret that the hunched-over geometry of road bikes alienates many cyclists. Enter the Acme, a city bike that hums along at road speeds while also allowing you to actually enjoy the ride. Think of it as a Mercedes on two wheels. The Acme is lighter and faster than most city bikes, which means you get to work on time with ease. It features the most advanced, reliable—and clean--drivetrain on the market: a sealed 11 speed shifter mated to a smooth and strong belt drive. Let’s face it: chains and derailleurs are a greasy time suck, and time is money for cyclists on the go. And like a high-performance European sedan, the frame’s gently swooping curves convey understated elegance. Acme means “highest,” and this bike is the apex of modern urban riding: a finely tuned mix of precision engineering, style, innovation and speed. Rediscover the joy of cycling. AVAILABLE in shops now.

  • Cream SS

    Cream SS

When you call a bike the Cream, it better be special. Meet the most advanced, highly engineered titanium mountain bike on the market. We don’t rush anything at Spot. The Cream took three years of meticulous R&D, countless test rides and prototypes to perfect. All the painstaking attention to detail paid off with something truly unique: a titanium speedster that whips up the trail with the agility and grace that you expect from Ti, yet also shreds down the hill with unparalleled confidence, precision and strength. We sourced a custom blend of the highest quality Ti tubing and then bent, ovalized, heat treated, shaped and massaged every inch to minimize flex here, enhance it there, add firmness and durability where needed, increase suppleness and fluidity elsewhere. See that curve atop the downtube? That swoop not only increases fork clearance but also strengthens the frame by more evenly dispersing stress on the headtube. We added Spot’s proprietary dual-tapered Animal Leg seatstays and a Time-Trial Cutaway seattube to enhance the Cream’s smooth Ti ride quality. You can feel the difference those subtle bends, cuts, and curves make when hammering in the saddle. Yet the bike remains stiff and confident when standing on the pedals.
